Is this the right setup for Lemlist?
It is if you send from Lemlist with Google accounts. Lemlist connects Google Workspace accounts, and every InboxesNow inbox is a real Google Workspace (Gmail) mailbox, so they connect the same way as any other Google inbox.
InboxesNow has two ways of handing over inboxes. Lemlist users take the release path. The other path, with an API key and a live delivery board, is built for Instantly only, so you need neither an Instantly account nor its delivery board here.
A worked example: 450 emails a day
Start with the volume, because it decides everything else. By default each inbox sends 30 campaign emails a day alongside the warm-up. A domain has 3 inboxes, so one domain covers 90 emails a day.
Say your team plans 450 emails a day from Lemlist, counting first emails and follow-ups together:
- 450 divided by 90 per domain, rounded up, is 5 domains.
- 5 domains hold 15 inboxes.
- At $15 per domain, that is $75 a month.
If the division leaves a remainder, round up to the next whole domain. Each domain costs $15 a month ($5 per inbox), with the domain included and no setup fee. Billing is a monthly Stripe subscription you can cancel any time. For other volumes, see the guide on how many inboxes and domains you need. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
From release to first send
Before release: choose and check
Pick the exact domains you want from the live inventory, or use Auto-pick best, which picks by 7-day warm-up inbox rate. Either way, every domain has warmed for at least 21 days, and you can open its warm-up record first: days warmed, a daily chart of warm-up emails sent against those that reached the inbox, the 7-day warm-up inbox rate and a single warm-up health score.
You can also read each domain's inbox placement record next to the warm-up record before you buy. Each inbox in stock gets a daily inbox-placement test, sent to seed inboxes at Google Workspace (business accounts), Outlook (Microsoft 365, business accounts) and Gmail (personal accounts) in the US. The record shows the inbox rate for each provider over the last 7 days as a daily strip, for the whole domain and for every inbox on it. Read it as evidence of what the tests found. It does not predict where your own Lemlist campaigns will land, which also depends on your list, your copy and how you send.
At release: what you get, and what stops
When you release a domain, you get each inbox's address and password, plus a CSV with all of them. For a single domain that is 3 addresses and 3 passwords.
At the same moment, InboxesNow's warm-up of those inboxes stops. That has a practical consequence for timing: release a domain on the day you plan to connect it in Lemlist, not the week before. If you want warm-up to continue, run it in your sequencer. If you warm up inboxes in Lemlist, switch it on for each new inbox right after you connect it.
In Lemlist: connect each inbox
Add each inbox to Lemlist as a Google account and sign in with Google, using the address and password from the release. Work down the CSV one row at a time, so you can see at a glance which inboxes are connected and which are still to do.
This page describes the step generically on purpose, because sending tools rearrange their settings from time to time. For the general flow, read the guide to connecting Google Workspace inboxes to your sequencer.
The first week: limits and ramp
Set a daily sending limit on each new inbox. The sizing above assumes 30 campaign emails per inbox per day, so stay at or below that figure. Begin your first campaign at a fraction of the full volume and raise it over several days, checking bounces, replies and spam complaints as you go. A pre-warmed inbox starts with history, but your list and your messages are new to it.
What each domain already has
| Set up before sale | Why it matters in Lemlist |
|---|---|
| MX record | Replies to your Lemlist emails have somewhere to arrive |
| SPF, DKIM and DMARC | Receivers can check that mail from the domain is authorized and signed |
| 3 named Google Workspace inboxes | Each has a realistic US first and last name, so the sender looks like a person |
| At least 21 days of warm-up | The inboxes have sending history before your first campaign |
| Custom tracking domain for Instantly | Used by Instantly only; you can leave it alone in Lemlist |

Questions from Lemlist users
Do I need an Instantly account?
No. The Instantly connection is one of two delivery paths. The release path gives you credentials that work in any tool that connects Google Workspace inboxes with Google sign-in, Lemlist included.
Will InboxesNow keep warming the inboxes after I connect them?
No. Warm-up on our side stops the moment you release the domain. If you want warm-up to continue after that, run it in your sequencer.
What should I watch once campaigns are running?
Bounces and complaints first. A rising bounce rate is usually a list problem, so verify addresses before you import them. For complaints, Google asks senders to keep the spam rate shown in Postmaster Tools below 0.3%, and ideally below 0.1% (Google's email sender guidelines).
Can some of my team send from another tool?
Yes. Released inboxes are ordinary Google Workspace accounts, so the same steps apply in other sequencers. See pre-warmed inboxes for any sequencer, or the Instantly page if that is the other tool.
